Stop Pots From Boiling Over

Stop Pots From Boiling Over

Cooking noodles, pasta, or soup and the pot starts foaming over? Don’t let it spill all over the stove.

Place a wooden spoon, wooden spatula, or bamboo chopstick across the top of the pot to help break the rising bubbles before they overflow.

Why This Works?

This works because starchy water creates foam that stacks up quickly. A wooden utensil helps disrupt the bubbles at the surface, slowing the overflow. It helps, but it’s not magic. If the pot is too full or the heat is too high, lower the heat too.
